YOUR ROLE As a Network Engineer on our team, you’ll define, design, and implement secure network environments that support internal test platforms and project-specific infrastructure. You’ll work closely with the corporate IT team to ensure seamless integration between isolated project networks and enterprise systems, with a strong emphasis on security and performance. In your daily job you will:

Requirements

7+ years of relevant experience within I.T. Design for networking
Proficiency in network architecture design, Dell networking hardware, and security protocols.
Demonstrated ability to implement secure, scalable network infrastructures and troubleshoot complex network issues.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, apply security best practices, and maintain high-performance network environments.
I.T. Planning, routing policies
Must be legally able to work in Canada without any type of visa sponsorship/transfer
Must be a local resident of the greater Ottawa area with ability to work 3 days/week on site.

Responsibilities

Define and document network architecture for test and project-specific environments.
Design and implement secure, scalable network infrastructures.
Configure network gateways, routing policies, and reverse proxy setups.
Collaborate with corporate IT to ensure integration and compliance.
Manage Dell networking hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
Implement VLANs, ACLs, and routing policies to protect network traffic.
Ensure secure access and controlled data flow between environments.
Conduct risk assessments and apply security best practices.
Support application testing and deployment with reliable connectivity.
Manage IP planning, DNS, DHCP, and core network services.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
Document network designs and change management procedures.
Evaluate and recommend new networking and security technologies.
Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
