About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to manage and maintain our organization’s core network infrastructure. This includes responsibilities across servers, virtualization platforms, network devices, and backup/recovery solutions. The ideal candidate will be adept in Windows Server and VMware environments, with a strong focus on ensuring high availability, capacity, and security of critical systems and services.

Requirements

• Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
• Strong experience with Windows Server administration
• Proficient in networking technologies and concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls)
• Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell; familiarity with Python and Ansible is a plus
• Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to respond quickly to outages and performance issues
• Regular and predictable attendance

Nice To Haves

• VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) (preferred)
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Windows Server and VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
• Maintain virtual machine reliability and perform preventive maintenance
• Upgrade and maintain network infrastructure, including diagnosing and resolving issues
• Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures and schedules
• Ensure integrity of backup data and conduct regular restore testing and disaster recovery verification
• Automate tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell and automation tools like Ansible
• Perform configuration management and monitor virtualized resources
• Troubleshoot and document hardware/software errors and resolutions
• Act as technical owner for critical business systems and provide advanced support for network/server issues
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure high availability and optimal performance of systems
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff as needed
