About The Position

Full Visibility is seeking a Network Engineer to work in Quantico, VA. Candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance. The Network Engineer will analyze local LAN/WAN systems, which includes planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites. The Network Engineer will configure communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices. The successful candidate will resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across platforms, which includes email, file transfer, multimedia, and teleconferencing. The Engineer will configure systems to user requirements, perform various tests and document results, administer and maintain LAN/WAN, provide technical support and troubleshooting to users, and plan network layout designs. Additionally, the candidate may assist with administering network security, performing database administration, and serving as the technical team or task lead.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Additional 5 years of experience my be used in lieu of a degree
  • At least six (6+) years of work experience
  • Experience with LAN/WAN communications, Cisco routers, ethernet switches, bridges, gateways, firewalls, and Micro and Gig E Taclanes encryption devices
  • Experience troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 Cisco and Juniper switching and routing
  • Experience monitoring customer traffic through monitoring boards that you have built using LibraNMS
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF
  • Strong knowledge and experience with MPLS, VPLS, VPNs, and traffic engineering technologies
  • Knowledge of systems analysis and technical writing to support SOPs
