How a Systems Engineer Expert Will Make An Impact: Analyzes customer requirements and solves unusually complex problems with highly innovative solutions Provides expert knowledge for maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and telecom equipment Provides expert knowledge for maintaining network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability Analyzes, evaluates and plans method of approach and organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems Develops advanced engineering ideas and guides their development into a final product Develops advanced solutions to a variety of highly complex engineering problems Perform highly advanced network/systems design, development, and integration from the start of a project life cycle to the end Provides and applies advanced engineering to highly complex infrastructures including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining network devices, telecom equipment, radio equipment, operating systems, application software, and system management tools Provides and applies advanced engineering skills to highly complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis Performs continual maintenance and provides advanced solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiency Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned Consults with executives and customers to deliver complex network solutions Will coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals Will serve as a team or task lead Recognized as an industry leader in network engineering Coordinates with project managers and engineers to oversee that the engineering tasks and team are on track Communicates regularly with leadership team
