About The Position

The Network Engineer III is responsible for providing advanced network, communications, and systems engineering and integration services to ensure optimal functionality and performance of complex networking environments. This role involves overseeing the design and implementation of integrated network solutions that cater to the evolving needs of the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network engineering, systems administration, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Advanced certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or similar are highly desirable.
  • Experience with various network architectures, protocols, and technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and routing/switching.
  • Strong knowledge of network analysis and monitoring tools, such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with network security technologies and methodologies.
  • Must possess a Secret Clearance, with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Proficiency in Cisco ISE for policy management and integration.
  • Experience in designing and implementing solutions that ensure network reliability and performance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex networking issues.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or similar are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure networks, ensuring compliance with industry standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Perform detailed network analyses and troubleshooting to ensure maximum uptime and security of network services and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to assess networking requirements and deploy innovative solutions utilizing advanced technologies.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers in areas such as network integration, systems engineering, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network designs, configurations, and procedures to facilitate operational excellence.
  • Monitor network performance and provide reports on availability, capacity, and utilization to stakeholders.
  • Ensure readiness for future enhancements by staying abreast of technological advancements and industry trends.
