The Network Engineer II is responsible for operating and maintaining the company's internal data communications systems, planning, designing, and implementing local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VOIP). This role involves advanced support and troubleshooting of network issues, performance optimization, and coordination with vendors for the installation and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. In this role, you will operate and maintain the company's internal data communications systems, ensuring their reliability and efficiency. You will plan, design, and implement local and wide-area network solutions across multiple platforms and protocols, including IP and VOIP. Providing advanced support and troubleshooting for network issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance will be a key responsibility. You will coordinate with vendors for the installation and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls, while monitoring network performance and security using network monitoring tools. Additionally, you will assist in the development and implementation of network policies and procedures and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and service records. Staying updated with the latest networking technologies and industry trends will enable you to continuously enhance the company's network infrastructure. Furthermore, you will optimize network performance and ensure network security through the use of technologies such as VPN and IDS/IPS.

  • Understanding of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
  • Knowledge of VLANs and subnetting.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with network security technologies (e.g., VPN, IDS/IPS).
  • Certifications: CCNA or higher (e.g., CCNP).
  • Experience with network design and implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with network security practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of VOIP systems and protocols.
