About The Position

The Network Engineer 2 role requires significant experience in Cisco and Arista configuration and sustainment. Responsibilities include familiarity with Latte ‘Art and supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance for relevant devices. The position mandates travel as needed and participation in an on-call rotation for operational systems. Candidates must meet specific professional experience and educational requirements, with various substitutions for degrees and certifications, including an Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level I baseline certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of the start date.

Requirements

  • Significant Cisco and Arista Configuration and sustainment experience
  • Familiar with Latte ‘Art
  • Familiar with supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance for those devices
  • Six (6) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support and training commensurate with network engineering curriculum
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • In lieu of a Master’s degree, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and an additional two (2) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support for a total of eight (8) years
  • In lieu of a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree an additional six (6) years experience providing Network Engineering support and a Certification in an industry standard (Arista Configuration Essentials, Cisco Certified Network Associate, or Juniper Certification Tracks (Automation & DevOps, Cloud, Data Center, Design, Enterprise Routing and Switching, Junos Security, Service Provider Routing and Switching)) may be substituted for a total of 12 years
  • An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level I baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required or ability to obtain within 6 months from start date
