About The Position

HII’s Mission Technologies division is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions that advance national security and defense objectives. This position is part of our Cyber and Intelligence division, which plays a critical role in supporting Enterprise-Level Security and Modernization efforts across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations. The selected candidate will contribute to a high-impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission-critical systems and environments. The program is scheduled to launch in early 2026 and due to the classified nature of the mission and the sensitivity of the operational environment, an active TS/SCI security clearance will be required. We will be hiring several people for these roles at various levels with salary ranges outlined here: Network Communications 1: $58000 - $90000 Network Communications 2: $69,618 - $100,000 Network Communications 3: $86,148 - $125,000 Network Communications 4: $104,000 - $150,000

Requirements

  • NW Communications 1: 0 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree
  • NW Communications 2: 2 + years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree, or 0 years experience with Masters in related field,or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • NW Communications 3: 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree, or 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • NW Communications 4: 9+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications (as applicable).
  • Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or government contracting.
  • Proficiency with specialized tools or software aligned to the role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Active TS/SCI government security clearance required to start.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains smooth operation of local area, world wide and virtual private networks (VPN).
  • Plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
  • May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.
  • Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
  • Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
