About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Technology Support Analyst to join our IT infrastructure team in Fargo, ND. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our enterprise network infrastructure, as well as providing comprehensive technical support to end users across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Fortigate firewalls, VPN technologies, and Cisco switching environments, combined with excellent customer service skills and the ability to troubleshoot diverse technical issues, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performance network operations and exceptional end user experiences across our organization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience administering Fortigate firewall appliances including policy configuration, NAT, routing, and security features
  • Strong knowledge of VPN technologies including IPSec, SSL VPN, and site-to-site VPN configurations
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS switch configuration, VLANs, trunking, spanning tree, and port security
  • Experience with EMS platforms for endpoint management and security
  • Proficiency in network protocols including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Understanding of network security principles, access control lists, and intrusion prevention systems
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Knowledge of wireless networking and access point management
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware issues including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common business applications
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Excellent documentation skills and ability to maintain accurate technical records
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all aspects of our network infrastructure, including planning, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level network systems.
  • Administering and troubleshooting Fortigate firewall environments, implementing and maintaining security policies, managing VPN connections for remote access and site-to-site connectivity, and ensuring network security best practices are followed throughout the organization.
  • Configuring and managing Cisco IOS switches, performing network monitoring and performance optimization, troubleshooting network connectivity issues, and maintaining network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Managing EMS (Endpoint Management System) infrastructure to ensure endpoint security and compliance across the enterprise environment.
  • Responding to help desk tickets and service requests in a timely manner, troubleshooting hardware and software issues including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, providing technical assistance via phone, email, and in-person support, setting up and configuring new user accounts, workstations, and equipment, assisting users with password resets, email configuration, and application access issues, training end users on technology tools and best practices, and escalating complex technical issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Collaborates with IT teams to support network requirements for various business applications and services, participates in network capacity planning and infrastructure upgrade projects, implements network changes following established change management procedures, and provides technical support and escalation for network-related issues.
  • Conduct regular network assessments and recommend improvements for performance, security, and reliability while staying current with emerging network technologies and security threats.
