About The Position

Provides administration, maintenance, monitoring, hardening, support, and technical documentation of the enterprise network infrastructure with limited supervision. Performs research and troubleshooting to provide resolution for complex technical issues related to the network infrastructure, enterprise applications, and telephony services. Responsible for administering operational workflows, processes, and IT functions that impact multiple business units and branches of the organization and the availability of mission-critical IT services. Contributes to and executes procedures that ensure systems support the organization's business requirements; meet compliance/security requirements; and meet the needs of end users. Performs a variety of other network administration tasks to ensure high availability of enterprise services and meet the technology needs of the organization.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
  • One to three years of similar or related experience.
  • CCNA certification or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience required.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Must be capable of working well with others and independently.
  • Must be able to perform all job functions with minimal supervision in a timely fashion.
  • Must be able to evaluate service requests and projects and prioritize as necessary.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality required.
  • Requires after-hours, weekends and on-call work as needed.
  • Some travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Administration, monitoring, and support of various enterprise network technologies including but not limited to LAN, WAN, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, VPN, WAP, NAC, NAT, SNMP, QoS, VLANs, ACLs, TACACS, and RADIUS.
  • Administration, monitoring, and support of enterprise internetworking devices such as routers, switches, security devices, and all supporting network fabric.
  • Administration, monitoring, and support of enterprise IP telephony network including voice gateways, VoIP call control systems, call queue control systems, auto attendant systems, FoIP systems, and IP phones.
  • Administration, monitoring, and support of enterprise network management and monitoring utilities.
  • Administration, evaluation, and execution of disaster recovery plans and disaster recovery quality assurance tests for the network infrastructure to ensure business continuity.
  • Executes strategies for monitoring systems and ensuring all enterprise systems are within vendor defined licensing compliance parameters.
  • Monitoring network requirements and maintaining defined system technical baselines.
  • Actively maintains help desk tickets and provide thorough documentation for problem resolution of tickets.
  • Responsible for compliance with all Federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
  • Assists in training new personnel
  • Other duties as assigned.
