About The Position

Mission Technologies is seeking a Network Administrator to support the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN), which delivers distributed modeling and simulation capabilities across the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE). This role is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of client and server infrastructure that underpins enterprise-wide training applications and services. The Network Administrator will work closely with team members and departments to update, monitor, and maintain servers and workstations across the enterprise. Responsibilities include Microsoft Windows server administration, Group Policy Object (GPO) management, DHCP configuration, patching, STIG implementation, authoring standard operating procedures, and providing Tier 2 technical support. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently as well as in a collaborative team environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS or SCCM
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Active Directory
  • Familiarity with Windows 10 Secure Host Baseline (SHB)
  • Experience implementing DoD STIGs and patching servers/workstations
  • Experience with VMware and VDI technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple systems
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a United States (U.S.) citizen
  • Must hold a current or active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification meeting DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Computer Information Systems or related discipline
  • Server-focused background highly desired
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8) experience highly desired
  • Linux+ or Microsoft certifications (MCSA/MCSE)
  • Experience installing and managing system release upgrades

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows servers and workstations
  • Configure and manage Active Directory, GPOs, and DHCP reservations
  • Apply operating system patches and enforce DoD STIG compliance standards
  • Monitor and support enterprise server and workstation performance
  • Author and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Provide Tier 2-level technical support for software, hardware, and connectivity issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational continuity
  • Support system upgrades, patching cycles, and release installations
  • Work independently and within a team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
