About The Position

Your responsibilities encompass customizing, managing, and maintaining VEKA's technolog ical network. This position works in cooperation with the maintenance department to ensure that all departments of VEK A US facilities have a reliable, secure, and efficient data communications network to provide VEKA's customers receive an outstanding service.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to understand business objectives
• Team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to collaborate cross-f unctional ly to work with other IT department members to identify root p roblems and design solutions to resolve
• Ability to handle multiple priorities through excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Accountability, assertiveness, dependability, and responsiveness are essential.
• Knowledge of network security and design principles
• Associated Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology required

• E xperience working with external vendors/suppliers and contractors preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees and monitors local area networks, wide area networks, network segments, and other data communication systems as needed to improve performance and ensuring smooth operation
• Responsible for ordering network equipment, including but not limited to firewalls, switches
• Configures, racks, tests network equipment
• Provides regular network maintenance for patching and updates
• Diagnos es and fix es problems or potential problems with the network
• Responsible for any necessary cabling
• All other duties as assigned
