About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator with 10+ years of experience and exposure to gaming/interactive entertainment environments. This contract, hybrid role (NYC) focuses on building and supporting high-availability, secure, low-latency network infrastructure that enables development workflows and production services. You’ll partner with DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering teams to ensure performance, uptime, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Experience in environments demanding performance, uptime, and rapid response (development + production ops)
  • Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, segmentation
  • Hands-on with enterprise networking: Cisco, Juniper, or similar
  • Hands-on with firewalls: Palo Alto, Fortinet, or equivalent
  • Strong troubleshooting across L2–L7 with performance optimization/stability improvements
  • Working knowledge of cloud networking: VPC/VNet, security groups, routing, peering/VPN connectivity
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging and incident management practices (tools flexible)
  • 10+ years in Network Administration / Network Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting live gaming or multiplayer services with strict latency requirements
  • Knowledge of low-latency design, traffic optimization, and CDNs
  • CCNA/CCNP or equivalent
  • Exposure to Agile/DevOps/SRE ways of working (change management, automation, collaboration rhythms)

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure: routing, switching, segmentation, and access controls
  • Ensure high availability and low-latency performance across development and production environments
  • Monitor network health, detect issues early, and lead incident resolution using best-practice workflows
  • Implement/manage firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols to protect services, users, and data
  • Support cloud-integrated and hybrid networking (AWS/Azure/GCP): connectivity, routing, peering/VPN, policy enforcement
  • Perform capacity planning, bandwidth forecasting, and scalability assessments for growth and release demands
  • Support release readiness, change management, and cross-environment stability (dev/stage/prod)
  • Maintain documentation: configurations, standards, runbooks, and incident response processes
  • Conduct root cause analysis for outages/performance degradation; deliver preventative and long-term fixes
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, automation, and network reliability practices
