Northern Nevada Health System (NNHS): Northern Nevada Health System is a regional multi-facility system that has excelled at offering quality care to residents of the greater Truckee Meadows. The System operates two acute care hospitals, Northern Nevada Medical Center and Sierra Medical Center, in addition to Northwest Specialty Hospital and freestanding emergency departments. In addition, NNHS has a robust outpatient services division offering family medicine, urgent care, and specialty care focused on cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, and wound care. This individual will be responsible for the administration and security of the computer-based information systems and networks throughout the facility. Plans and installs hardware and software that comprise the facility's network. Provides primary user support and performs first and second level maintenance of all network-related hardware and software. Participates in the department's performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering required.
- Minimum three (3) years previous as a network administrator preferred. Five (5) years of previous experience as a network administrator may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Nice To Haves
- Microsoft Certified preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for meeting the needs of the facility through designing, testing and implementing network systems and hardware
- Monitors the facility's computer system to ensure the equipment is functioning properly.
- Demonstrates knowledge of current software systems, operation procedures and technological developments.
- Maintains, debugs and changes application software systems and existing programs.
