GDIT has an opportunity for a COMSEC Network Administrator supporting U.S. Army Europe as a member of our EMITS Program Team in Poznan Poland. The COMSEC Network Administrator will be responsible for providing technical solutions in the management of software, hardware, configurations, and architectures, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers. They will be tasked with evaluating existing network systems and planning long-term strategies to ensure network capacity meets current and future network requirements. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Network Administrator Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of U.S. Army Europe and AFRICOM. You will play a crucial role in supplying mission command support. Installs, supports and/or maintains LANs and/or WANs; evaluates and recommends networking product and software upgrades with some latitude and moderate supervision. Designs, installs and maintains the network system for multiple classifications and coordinates their use with some independent judgement and moderate supervision. Monitors network performance. Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network. Maintains operating efficiency and stability, ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data, and respond to outages and other issues. Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices. Requires moderate skill sets and developing proficiency within discipline. CRYPTOLOGIC SUPPORT/SECURITY Provide cryptographic equipment and lifecycle support to include installing, securing and operating government procured COMSEC equipment. Manage, safeguard, and maintain accountability for Government-provided cryptographic/encryption products and keying materials and perform cryptographic equipment support services IAW the authoritative COMSEC Management user account guidelines and training. Manage National Security Agency Type 1 encryption devices and other National Security Agency approved encryption devices when requested. Safeguard, hand-receipt, transport, store, inventory, and destroy COMSEC keys IAW AR 38040, AE Regulation 380-40 and TB 380-41. Immediately contact the COMSEC custodian if assistance is needed to resolve any problems. Coordinate receipt of COMSEC material from the supporting COMSEC Account Manager (CAM). Requirements

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Must have experience with cryptographic equipment and lifecycle support to include installing, securing and operating government procured COMSEC equipment.
  • Active Secret Level Security Clearance
  • US citizenship required
  • Must meet DoD 8570 requirements for IAT Level II Certification – upon hire.
  • Computing Environment Certification also required, i.e.; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Network Plus or CCENT or Palo Alto ACE 8.1 (or higher).
