The Spa Assistant Manager assists the Director and Manager of Spa and Wellness in overseeing the successful daily operations of the Spa. Requirements

  • Three years of management experience required; spa experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have excellent verbal skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of math
  • Be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
  • Be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Be able to operate a company vehicle or golf cart safely.
  • Be able to stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to work in a calm and quiet spa setting

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling of Spa Service Providers and Spa Coordinators
  • Respond to time-sensitive guest requests for spa appointments
  • Maintain backbar and locker room inventory and place orders as needed
  • Oversee all aspects of Providers and Coordinators, including: o Maintain proper staffing, including hiring and efficient scheduling of providers and coordinators according to established budget guidelines and demand o Onboard and train new provider and coordinator staff according to SOPs o Write, implement, and update new provider and coordinator SOPs o Ensure accuracy in appointments, scheduling, balancing, and schedules o Conduct semi-annual performance reviews in conjunction with the spa manager o Ensure all therapist license are current and team is on track to achieve all required CE credits. o Ensure all spa team members complete required compliance training annually
  • Oversee daily operations of the pool experience
  • Interact with guest to ensure Blackberry standards, assist with guest issues, and write Cat-Cs as needed.
  • Work with Facilities team to ensure Spa is clean and ready for guests every day
  • Maintain common area guest supplies (locker rooms, fitness, pool, lounge) in conjunction with the spa manager
  • Maintain respectful working relationships with other departments
  • Work at the desk and the retail area welcoming and interacting with guests and leading by example
  • Motivate the team and enforce policies and procedures
  • Become familiar with spa services including massages, body treatments, manicures, pedicures, and facials
  • Keep the whiteboard in the breakroom updated with left to sell numbers, team members on the best report, best report number, and any upcoming events
  • Keep the calendar in the breakroom updated with team member birthdays and groups
  • Organize team outings in conjunction with the spa manager
  • Manage the best report breakdown by team member
  • Submit maintenance or IT work orders as needed
  • Conduct weekly housekeeping and maintenance walkthroughs of the spa
  • Serve as Manager on Duty
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers, and interact with our guests.
  • Must have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
