Responsibilities

• Provide overall clinical leadership and strategic direction for the Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program.
• Collaborate with a high-performing, multidisciplinary team including transplant nephrologists, transplant surgeons, transplant coordinators, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, and other pediatric specialists.
• Oversee all aspects of pre-transplant evaluation, transplant care, and long-term follow-up for pediatric kidney transplant recipients.
• Ensure compliance with UNOS, CMS, and other regulatory requirements, champion best practices in safety, quality, and outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with hospital leadership and institutional partners to advance program development and patient-centered care.
• Drive research initiatives, clinical trials, and/or quality improvement projects related to pediatric transplantation.
• Mentor trainees, junior faculty, and support educational efforts within the program and the division of pediatric nephrology.
• Represent the transplant program in institutional, regional, national, and international forums.
