About The Position

The Dr. Charles P. Darby Jr. Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Neonatologist to join the Division of Neonatology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). This is a 1.0 FTE position with responsibilities that can include clinical, academic, and administrative services. The appointment rank and academic leadership roles will be determined based on the applicant’s experience and academic credentials. All faculty members are obligated to enthusiastically participate in the Department's educational mission, which includes teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, active teaching assignments in the resident curriculum, and attendance at teaching conferences. Support for the Department’s clinical and academic missions is also expected. Providers will be required to participate in the division call schedule. The practice is located at the Shawn Jenkins’ Children Hospital in Downtown Charleston, SC, and offers a full complement of medical staff and opportunities to work with various trainees.

Requirements

• M.D. or Equivalent
• Completed a Medical Doctorate and subsequent fellowship
• Board Certified or Eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics
• Commitment to MUSC’s educational missions
• Eligible for licensure in South Carolina
