About The Position

The mission of the Food Bank is to mobilize resources to fight hunger in our community. The position of the Neighbor Intake Specialist will be responsible for all phases of implementation of Neighbor Intake with the agency partner network and will help with data processing. The Specialist will meet with agencies in person and virtually. They will lead the implementation of the Neighbor Intake program in the field with agency partners. The Specialist will assist the Analyst in the maintenance of reporting sites and participate in documenting systems and reporting requirements. The Neighbor Intake Specialist will assist with managing department data sets, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues, ensuring the quality and accuracy of data.

Requirements

  • College degree with an emphasis in Customer Relations related.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service support.
  • Must be proficient in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation.
  • Ability to explain and present complex information in a way that is easily understood to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and cultural sensitivity in coordinating activities and communicating with all customers, peers, and the community at large.
  • Works effectively and collaboratively with others towards common goals. Presents a professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Computer experience and proficiency with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google platform (GoogleDocs, etc.)

  • May be scheduled to work weekends, nights, or be on-call as a regular part of the job.
  • Possess a valid California Driver’s License and have access to a reliable, insured vehicle. Must be able to travel within Los Angeles County as required. Work assignments may include various facilities and hubs across Los Angeles County, including locations in Los Angeles and the City of Industry, CA. Flexibility to commute between Food Bank facilities as needed is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding and training the implementation agencies on the Neighbor Intake Oasis Platform.
  • Assist with creating appropriate training documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and train end-users on new reports and dashboards.
  • Travel to (using a personal vehicle) various sites throughout Los Angeles County to onboard and train agencies on the Neighbor Intake program.
  • Manage agency/client data in Oasis and other platforms to collect data from agency partners for monthly/annual reporting, auditing data for completion and consistency.
  • Perform data cleanup and maintenance projects as needed.
  • Maintain hard copy and electronic files on shared drives to document work products.
  • Respond to general questions and concerns regarding reporting and data projects.
  • Provides customer service to clients, prospective or existing agencies, and assists with conflict resolution regarding the onboarding process, client intake, reports, and other related topics.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and/or attending meetings, using a combination of virtual and online forums as needed.
  • Works effectively with other staff members at all levels of responsibility within the Food Bank.
  • Performs other such duties as assigned by the manager.
  • Must be able to work Monday to Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
  • Weekends and evenings may be required as needed.
