WSP is currently initiating a search for a NEBB Certified Testing and Balancing Field Technician for our Columbia, MD office. Your Impact Testing, Adjusting and Balancing to achieve proper operation of HVAC systems for institutional clients ( Hospitals, Labs and Higher Education). Critical Space Testing to measure airflows and confirm room pressurization is correct in addition to calculating air change rates directly for existing healthcare clients. Pre-commissioning to confirm the installation of the mechanical system is installed per the contract documents and the owner’s specifications. Functional performance testing to exercise HVAC equipment through its paces to confirm the systems are operating per the design intent. Who You Are

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 9+ years of relevant Testing and Balancing Field experience
• NEBB Certified Technician

Nice To Haves

• HVAC Trade School training and/or certification

Responsibilities

• Testing, Adjusting and Balancing to achieve proper operation of HVAC systems for institutional clients ( Hospitals, Labs and Higher Education).
• Critical Space Testing to measure airflows and confirm room pressurization is correct in addition to calculating air change rates directly for existing healthcare clients.
• Pre-commissioning to confirm the installation of the mechanical system is installed per the contract documents and the owner’s specifications.
• Functional performance testing to exercise HVAC equipment through its paces to confirm the systems are operating per the design intent.
