Under direction of the NDT Supervisor or designated Lead, performs Radiographic and Visual Weld inspection. Processes hardware in accordance with internal, customer and/or industry requirements. Evaluates and interprets the quality of applicable fusion weld, machined and forged products to meet company and customer specifications. Supports other NDT personnel; provides guidance to and mentors trainees and Level I Technicians. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs proper warm up and system performance checks of NDT equipment. Maintains daily, monthly logs and applicable records to assure traceability of components. Performs interpretations and evaluations of NDT results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Is responsible for writing work instructions and other documentation. May perform and/or participate in NDT system, customer, internal and NADCAP audits. Provides on-the-job training and guidance to NDT trainees and NDT Level I personnel. May perform level I duties in addition to level II duties. Shall comply with other duties as assigned. Overtime may be required. This job description is not all inclusive of all duties.
