About The Position

The NDT Responsible Level 3 will provide oversight of NDT programs by managing training, certification, and auditing; supporting daily NDT operations; developing and approving testing methods; ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and government standards as well as the calibration of equipment and upkeep of NDT equipment. The candidate must be certified to NAS410 standards and have extensive experience with Pinnacle Digital Radiography cabinet systems and Comet X-Ray systems.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical data and quality procedures.
  • Strong computer skills in Word and Excel.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Objective evidence or letters of verification of previous NDT work experience and levels of responsibility.
  • Experience inspecting GTAW welds.
  • SAP experience a plus.
  • Leadership experience a plus.
  • Collins Aerospace NDT Experience

Responsibilities

  • Administer the training, examination, and certification programs NDT Level I and Level II inspectors and Trainees.
  • Complete associated NDT documentation for submission to regulatory agencies as governed by company and contract requirements.
  • Provide technical support and performance monitoring for the day-to-day operations of NDT personnel.
  • Knowledgeable on viewing/evaluating and archiving requirements for digital radiographic images.
  • Thorough familiarity with the scope and limitations of the method.
  • Understand practical theory.
  • Develop, qualify, and approve test method procedures and techniques for NDT.
  • Maintain, adjust, and make minor repairs to NDT equipment as required.
  • Oversee calibrated equipment program, including the timely submission of equipment for calibration and ordering replacements for assets that fail calibration.
  • Oversee NDT supplies ensuring products are ordered and available when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintain film badges for radiation safety program.
  • SME for NADCAP audits
