Columbus Forge Ultrasonic NDT Level 3 What You Will Do: The Quality and Process Engineering (Q&PE) organization is looking for Ultrasonic (UT) Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 3 inspectors who will work in the Columbus Forge business unit to support production inspection activities and develop/continuously improve our UT NDT processes and systems. As a member of the CFD Q&PE NDT team, you will support UT NDT audits and certifications, provide technical guidance, generate and review technique sheets, perform inspection system oversite, and drive process improvements. Specific NDT L3 proficiencies being considered are: Immersion Ultrasonic, specifically longitudinal and shear wave immersion disk inspection.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years NDT experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • P&W Certified Level 3.
  • Familiarity or expertise in additional methods.
  • Experience with training, personnel testing and auditing NDT systems.
  • Experience that includes a background in fully automated inspection systems i.e. IRT ScanMaster and/or Matec Aragorn.
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools.
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft suite.
