What are we looking for? The NDT Inspector (Pipe Mill) is responsible for providing assistance to Client in the overall monitoring, surveillance and/or supervision of the facilities pipe activities and the procedures necessary in achieving the desired level of quality as it pertains to the project. Shift/Schedule: This is a Temporary, Full-Time role anticipated to last four weeks. Role will work 12 hours per day, five days per week. Weekend work may be required, if needed. What you’ll do: Participate in project meetings as needed Supervise inspectors on a day-to-day basis to enforce effective utilization and timely verification of the project quality objectives as needed Witness testing, perform verifications, and monitor project activities Assess/Audit contractor, subcontractor, and vendor activities to ensure effective execution of the quality assurance programs and plan Compile information relating to contractor, subcontractor, or vendor quality, which can be used to support changes in their quality assurance programs, plans and procedures Report the status of the contractors, subcontractors, or vendors overall quality assurance program to Client and its specific effectiveness on the project as it relates to non-destructive testing performed by the pipe manufacturer Provide coordination effort and assistance as requested by Client and Lead Pipe Mill Inspector Prepare and issue inspection report Type of Equipment (Commodity): API Line Pipe (API 5L) This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.

Requirements

  • Prefer at least eight (8) years’ experience with pipe and pipe related quality assurance systems as related to non-destructive testing of line pipe
  • Familiar with/able to interpret and understand a) national codes and standards and b) specifications, drawings and data sheets as they are related to mult-discipline construction and pipe projects
  • Received high school/GED or higher education
  • Fluent in English (i.e. reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with email and internet communication systems.
  • Ability to work well with others, multi-task, and is detailed oriented.
