What are we looking for?
The NDT Inspector (Pipe Mill) is responsible for providing assistance to Client in the overall monitoring, surveillance and/or supervision of the facilities pipe activities and the procedures necessary in achieving the desired level of quality as it pertains to the project.
Shift/Schedule: This is a Temporary, Full-Time role anticipated to last four weeks. Role will work 12 hours per day, five days per week. Weekend work may be required, if needed.

Requirements

• Prefer at least eight (8) years’ experience with pipe and pipe related quality assurance systems as related to non-destructive testing of line pipe
• Familiar with/able to interpret and understand a) national codes and standards and b) specifications, drawings and data sheets as they are related to mult-discipline construction and pipe projects
• Received high school/GED or higher education
• Fluent in English (i.e. reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with email and internet communication systems.
• Ability to work well with others, multi-task, and is detailed oriented.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project meetings as needed
• Supervise inspectors on a day-to-day basis to enforce effective utilization and timely verification of the project quality objectives as needed
• Witness testing, perform verifications, and monitor project activities
• Assess/Audit contractor, subcontractor, and vendor activities to ensure effective execution of the quality assurance programs and plan
• Compile information relating to contractor, subcontractor, or vendor quality, which can be used to support changes in their quality assurance programs, plans and procedures
• Report the status of the contractors, subcontractors, or vendors overall quality assurance program to Client and its specific effectiveness on the project as it relates to non-destructive testing performed by the pipe manufacturer
• Provide coordination effort and assistance as requested by Client and Lead Pipe Mill Inspector
• Prepare and issue inspection report
