Collins Aerospace is looking for an NDT Inspector II for our Miami, FL Landing gear Facility, The NDT Inspector Level II is responsible for conducting inspections using Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) methods, following company and customer specifications. The NDT Inspector will develop and maintain processes to ensure compliance with regulations. Additionally, the NDT Inspector must be able to effectively communicate all inspection reports to both the company and the customer throughout the duration of the project. This position will be working in an Onsite capacity. Work Shift: First Shift, Monday - Friday 5:45 am - 2:15 pm with overtime offered regularly

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Certificate in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Level 2
  • Certificate in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) Level 2

Nice To Haves

  • NDT experience in Landing Gears components
  • Certificate in NAS410.
  • NDT Aerospace industry Experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform NDT component inspections as required.
  • Set up, operate equipment, and, where applicable, check and adjust equipment and test process medium as needed to ensure valid test results.
  • Assist team leaders in meeting production goals and objectives.
  • Provide inspection procedures training to other inspectors/mechanics.
  • Review work scopes and work scope revisions for compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions, such as the inspector’s checklist for upkeep, and ensure equipment operates properly.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
