These positions will address both issues of quality and accessibility of the target populations, in the strategy development phase, evidence-based strategies with known efficacy, and in particular, proven effectiveness for the target populations. The fellow works alongside Council leadership and staff to implement strategies, the fellow will support fidelity of implementation and ensure that those target populations are able to access the implemented strategies in a way that is relevant for their context and/or specific needs and provides quality outcomes. The fellow will prepare an annual progress report provided to the Governor. The fellow will identify the accompanying measures of quality for each goal. Positions’ responsibilities will include coordination with employers, industry associations, and education partners to revise the criteria used to determine which credentials are included on the list. This position would work to update and align the credential application process with the Advisory Council’s strategic goals. This position would also develop a system for the Council to regularly review the credentials and manage the preparation and organization of all credential application materials and supporting documents and maintain the cloud-based storage system of these materials. The position would collaborate with LEAD to further integrate the approved credentials into NCcareers.org. The position would additionally support the creation of “one list” of approved credentials to be shared with the NC Community College System, the Department of Public Instruction, and the Department of Commerce. Lastly, the position would develop outreach campaigns for trade associations, employers, and education and workforce partners to utilize the credentials list.
