About The Position

A Navigator is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for presenting exceptional customer service to ensure the guests’ first impression of the restaurant is a positive one.

Requirements

  • 1 year of restaurant experience preferred
  • Organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask
  • Availability on weekdays, weekends, nights, mornings, and holidays
  • Must be able to read and write in English and handle math calculations

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a professional, pleasant and helpful manner and directs them to their seats promptly and present them with menus
  • Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely manner
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and restaurant promotions to provide accurate information to guests
  • Handle guest complaints or issues professionally or bring them to the manager when necessary
  • Take to-go orders over the phone and in person
  • Responsible for a point-of-sale register and accepting credit cards, cash, comps or in payment of food and beverage charges
  • Engage with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service
  • Refill drinks and clear plates as needed during guest’s dining experience.
  • Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating/dining flow.
  • Performs opening and closing duties as directed by supervisor or manager
  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures
  • Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service
  • Performs any other duties as assigned
