About The Position

Naval Warfighting & Integration Training and Exercise Analyst The Opportunity: As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. You’ll provide planning, research, and analysis support regarding Naval Warfighting and Integration related training and exercises. You’ll work directly with Marine Corps and Navy operational planning teams, exercise planners, and fleet operators to plan naval exercises, examine lessons, trends, and availability gaps and collaboratively determine viable recommendations or solutions to address the identified problem or need. You’ll conduct research, design training and exercise plans, analyze data, interpret results, capture conclusions, and make recommendations in compelling and professionally written products for Navy and Marine Corps decision-makers. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with USMC Forces or Fleet operations as a warfare qualified Naval Officer or Marine Officer
  • 2+ years of experience with MEU staffs, MEF staffs, Amphibious Squadron, or ESG staffs
  • Knowledge of U.S. naval doctrine, operating concepts, training, and joint exercise planning
  • Knowledge of naval warfare and maritime capabilities
  • Knowledge of USMC training doctrine and force generation processes and procedures to ensure products are consistent with mission, operational, and theater requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate professionally and effectively across the civilian and military spectrum from the Action Officer to the General Officer and Flag Officer level
  • Ability to interface with key stakeholders on issues for allies and partners, international engagements, and strategic development
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience working with senior executive-level officials
  • Experience as a Staff Operations Officer or Lead Planner
  • Experience as a Navy Surface Warfare Officer or MEU Officer aboard amphibious ships or staffs
  • Knowledge of U.S. military considerations globally
  • Possession of excellent research and analytic skills
  • Possession of excellent written communication skills
  • Master's degree
