About The Position

Naval Training Subject Matter Expert The Opportunity: As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don’t. You understand the nuances of complex situations. As a United States Navy training professional, you will apply your tactical and technical expertise to lead the development of the training pipeline for a Middle Tier of Acquisition (MTA) rapid prototyping or rapid fielding program supporting over-the-horizon targeting. You will support Sailors and Marines by driving the development of program-level training, providing instructional support and conducting readiness analysis for shipboard and expeditionary systems in accordance with Department of the Navy training and MTA acquisition policies and processes. The ideal candidate has experience operating in a fleet-focused, requirements-driven environment and collaborating directly with government personnel, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), surface fleet trainers, Sailors, and Marines to develop and execute training pipelines. What You'll Work On: Take the lead in fulfilling Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), and Integrated Product Support (IPS) training requirements for an MTA Rapid Prototype or Rapid Fielding program. Guide the effort among stakeholders to develop, update, and deliver training in accordance with relevant instructions, technical manuals (TMs), and configuration-controlled documentation. Coordinate between OEMs, training specialists, the program office, and other third-party vendors to develop classroom, hands-on, and shipboard training in support of fleet readiness and maintenance operations. Support training analysis, curriculum development, and instructional design efforts. Assist in the translation of Navy, USMC, and system technical requirements into effective training materials for Sailors, Marines, civilians, and contractors Provide direction for the evaluation of trainer and trainee performance and document results in compliance with reporting requirements. Lead coordination efforts to maintain training documentation, metrics, and records in accordance with government standards. Provide subject matter expertise on Navy training doctrine, safety requirements, and operational procedures. Support audits, inspections, and technical reviews, including TYCOM, NAVSEA, or shipyard reviews. Requirements

  • Experience in Navy training requirement management at Navy Echelon 1, 2, or 3 level, including NETC, CTC, or RRL
  • Experience in a Navy acquisition Program Management Office (PMO)
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LCPS, ILS, and IPS
  • Experience with shipboard or waterfront operations and safety standards
  • Experience establishing a new Navy training program
  • Knowledge of Navy training systems, technical documentation, and evaluation methodologies
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master Training Specialist (MTS) Certification
  • Completion of a Navy Instructor Training Course (ITC)
