About The Position

TTL is searching for an environmental professional to join our team in Georgia. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of project types and teams. This role will provide support and coordination with environmental agencies to address environmental concerns and will be responsible for managing multiple projects. The ideal candidate has extensive documented project experience with high profile, complex projects including large development sites and corridors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, planning or related science degree; M.S.
  • 8 to 15 years of progressive experience in natural resources consulting in the north or central Georgia market.
  • Documented project experience successfully obtaining USACE permits and project clearances.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed project management skills.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in team environments.
  • Willingness to frequently travel to project sites and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • PWS or other professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee aquatic resource delineations and prepare associated reports; must be capable of leading field crews of less experienced personnel.
  • Prepare US Corps of Engineers (USACE) nationwide and individual permit applications for impacts to streams and wetlands with limited supervision.
  • Conduct and oversee habitat surveys for threatened and endangered species and coordinate with US Fish and Wildlife Service.
  • Develop stream and wetland mitigation and restoration plans.
  • Coordinate with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies and their natural resource permit requirements.
  • Assist clients with permit violation responses and resolutions.
  • Monitor, observe, sample, and record field environmental conditions accurately and consistently.
  • Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with coworkers, clients, and contractors.
  • Prepare daily reports, data sheets, and detailed technical documentation summarizing findings, analyses, and recommendations for clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess and evaluate environmental risks, impacts, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Support project management activities including safety oversight, cost estimating, proposal preparation, scheduling, staffing coordination, cost control, invoicing, and report review.
  • Manage and develop client base to support additional team members.
  • Stay informed on current environmental regulations, trends, and best practices.
