One Natural Resources Technician (Seasonal Worker, Full-time, 40 hours/week) position is available with the Colorado State University (CSU) Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML). This position will provide entry-level training and experience on a range of cultural resources projects supporting the Natural Resources Management (NRM) program at Shaw Air Force Base, SC. This position will provide support to Shaw Air Force Base (AFB) Natural Resources (NR) programs. The position will integrate the intern into military lands management and NR work. The technician will contribute to Shaw AFB conservation efforts and learn about the regulatory framework and importance of managing NR on DoD lands. Successful candidates will gain entry-level experience on a variety of forestry, T&E, habitat and NR mgt projects under mentorship with Shaw AFB NR program mgrs. This position is not-to-exceed 140 working days. Potential work activities may include but are not limited to the tasks below: Threatened and Endangered Species Management Forestry and Habitat Management Some regulatory coordination for cultural resource support NEPA support This position is onsite, and the Natural Resources Technician must have reliable transportation to the site.
