One Natural Resources Technician (Seasonal Worker, Full-time, 40 hours/week) position is available with the Colorado State University (CSU) Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML). This position will provide entry-level training and experience on a range of natural resources projects supporting the Natural Resources Management (NRM) program at Scott Air Force Base, IL. The technician will work alongside the Installation NR Manager and the Carterville Conservation Office of US FWS completing field tasks and data collection. Receive hands-on experience with the management of ~375 acres of Section 404 jurisdictional wetlands located within the Silver Creek Riparian Corridor. Conduct work on the Scott and Cardinal Lakes to combat eutrophication and preserve habitat integrity. Survey and monitor for the ESA listed northern long eared and Indiana bats in coordination with Bat Conservation International (BCI) under the North American Bat Monitoring Program (NABat). This position is not-to-exceed 126 working days. This position is onsite, and the Natural Resources Technician must have reliable transportation to the site. The ECDP is unable to provide relocation or housing stipends.
