About The Position

We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of intermittent Natural Resources Technician 1 (Creel Clerk) - 10 positions available within the Division of Wildlife, headquartered in various counties within the state of Ohio. There is one opening per location at the following 10 sites: Hargus Lake (Pickaway County) Hoover Reservoir (Delaware County) Pleasant Hill Reservoir (Richland County) Atwood Lake (Tuscarawas County) Nimisila Reservoir (Summit County) Pymatuning Lake (Ashtabula County) Dillon Lake (Muskingum County) Salt Fork Lake (Guernsey County) Caesar Creek Lake (Warren County) C.J. Brown Reservoir (Clark County) These are maximum duration, 1000-hour intermittent (unclassified) positions for the Division of Wildlife. The intermittent positions will remain at step 1 of the pay range. These intermittent positions are not eligible for benefits (e.g., vision, dental, life, health insurance, holiday pay, leave accruals [vacation, personal, sick], any other paid leave, shift differential, pay supplements, etc.). Requirements

  • Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division & in reading & speaking common English vocabulary
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by Section 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio Revised Code
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

  • Interest in fishing, conservation, or fisheries management
  • May need to provide a vehicle able to tow a small boat

  • Collect biological and human dimensions data via angler interviews
  • Enter data using computers
  • Operate boats and motors
