Position Summary: Responsible for providing field and office support for NEPA reports, wetlands and waters delineations, species surveys, and environmental permitting in Texas. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Requirements

Full-time, undergraduate student in natural resources, environmental science, biology or similar field

Nice To Haves

Experience with ArcGIS Pro and GNSS data collection.
Basic knowledge of National Environmental Policy Act documentation
Basic knowledge of USACE 1987 Manual
Basic knowledge of species surveys
Previous internship experience

Responsibilities

ArcGIS Pro software utilization and data collection
Ability to work in hot or cold field conditions for up to 10 hours per day
Skills necessary to complete reports in Microsoft Apps and Adobe Pro
Assist with delineation of wetlands according to USACE Regional Supplements
Assist with preparation of Jurisdictional Determination Packages for submittal to USACE
Provide input on solutions to problems using basic scientific knowledge and principles
Evaluate equipment and material
Maintain accurate and current project documentation
Enter data into systems
Assist with administrative duties
Perform other related duties as assigned
