About The Position

The National Surgical Consultant will be instrumental in driving the sales and demonstration of advanced surgical capital equipment specifically tailored to ophthalmology. This role involves collaboration with various sales teams and customer interactions to enhance satisfaction and ensure successful installations and training. By leveraging their expertise, the consultant will not only contribute to achieving sales goals but also improve overall team knowledge and product understanding. Requirements

• Four (4) years college degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in ophthalmic surgical capital equipment sales.
• High level of technical and clinical knowledge of ophthalmic equipment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
• Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills.
• Valid motor vehicle license required.
• Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
• Knowledge of Carl ZEISS Meditec and competitive products.
• Self-motivated and reliable working independently.
• Creative problem-solving and strong interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced, complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in demonstrating and selling ophthalmic surgical capital equipment.
• Coordinate with various teams for installations and training.
• Educate sales teams to enhance product knowledge and expertise.
• Work with marketing to develop profitable sales strategies.
• Communicate market trends and competitive activities effectively.
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and institutions.
