About The Position

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a National SPARQ & Distributor Manager to lead strategic engagement with key institutional SPARQ partners and develop third-party distribution channels that expand our reach across the scientific instrumentation market. In this highly visible role, you will serve as the primary liaison between SPARQ partner institutions, Shimadzu sales leadership, and distributor organizations nationwide. You will support complex deal development, strengthen long-term institutional partnerships, and identify new opportunities to expand Shimadzu’s distribution footprint.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum eight years of experience in analytical instrumentation or scientific equipment industries, preferably in a sales or strategic account management role
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage strategic partnerships and institutional relationships
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across multiple organizational levels
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product management, and executive leadership
  • Willingness to travel nationally as required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for SPARQ partner accounts and distributor organizations, ensuring consistency, transparency, and alignment in customer engagement
  • Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with institutional partners, sales leadership, and field sales engineers
  • Support the sales organization in identifying and developing opportunities eligible for the SPARQ program
  • Assist with negotiating and closing agreements with key SPARQ accounts by implementing effective sales and partnership strategies
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with customer needs while ensuring a positive and professional experience with Shimadzu
  • Act as a strategic voice of the customer by sharing insights with product, marketing, and sales teams to improve the partnership experience
  • Mentor and guide the sales organization on developing and closing SPARQ opportunities
  • Travel nationwide as required to support customer relationships, strategic initiatives, and sales development efforts
