About The Position

As Deako’s National Sales Trainer, you’ll be responsible for designing and delivering world-class sales training that empowers our builder partners, sales agents, and internal teams to confidently sell and support Deako’s smart lighting solutions. This highly visible role requires someone who thrives on connecting with people, can command a room (or a Zoom!), and enjoys hitting the road to make an impact in person.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the builder sales industry (homebuilding, building materials, or related).
  • Proven experience delivering sales training in both virtual and in-person formats.
  • Strong soft skills and ability to build rapport, motivate, and engage learners at all levels.
  • Confident public speaker with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Passion for technology and innovation—experience in smart home, lighting, or consumer electronics is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging sales training programs for builder sales teams and partners—both in-person and virtually.
  • Facilitate new builder onboarding and product launch trainings across the U.S.
  • Conduct large and small group trainings, tailoring content to different audiences and learning styles.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership and marketing to ensure consistent messaging and value proposition across all training materials.
  • Maintain a regular travel schedule to support regional training needs (approximately 50% travel).
  • Continuously evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems, Google Sheets, and dashboards to track and analyze training participation, engagement, and performance metrics.
  • Act as a key point of contact and trusted advisor for builder sales teams during and after training.
