About The Position

The National Sales Manager serves as a strategic ambassador of the Resort, representing its brand standards and value proposition to clients and prospective partners nationwide. This role is responsible for generating group business with a minimum of 26 rooms on peak night and achieving established revenue goals through proactive sales efforts. Key responsibilities include identifying and developing new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, conducting virtual and in-person sales presentations, traveling for client meetings and industry trade conferences, and cultivating long-term client relationships. Success in this role requires a strong balance of new business development, account management, and consistent follow-through. The National Sales Manager negotiates and executes contracts for guest room blocks, meeting space, food and beverage functions, and recreational activities, ensuring all agreements align with established selling guidelines and operational capabilities. The role requires the preparation of detailed proposals, contracts, and professional correspondence to support the sales process and deliver exceptional client service.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in food & beverage, catering, or hospitality sales.
  • Strong verbal, written, and active listening communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and perform well under pressure.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and achieve performance targets.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented professional who delivers courteous service and consistently demonstrates a “can-do” attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new group business (26+ rooms on peak night) through proactive outbound prospecting, strategic account development, and revenue-driven sales efforts to achieve established booking goals.
  • Represent the Resort as a brand ambassador by conducting professional sales presentations, site visits, client meetings, and attending industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Develop, negotiate, and execute contracts for guest room blocks, meeting space, food and beverage functions, and recreational activities in alignment with established selling guidelines.
  • Prepare customized proposals, contracts, and client correspondence with clear, persuasive, and detail-oriented communication.
  • Manage accounts through consistent follow-up and relationship building to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of contracted programs and exceptional client satisfaction.
