Job Summary and Responsibilities Currently interviewing for the May cohort. A CommonSpirit Health Nurse Resident is a new graduate direct clinical care registered nurse (RN) who continues to develop nursing knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors introduced in formal education as they transition into practice. They are expected to demonstrate the appropriate competency in both core and functional areas, listed below. Progression is expected in the areas of leading through mission vision and values, patient/customer focus, taking ownership, health care knowledge, teamwork, clinical performance improvement, service excellence, decision making and critical thinking, and patient safety. This role provides an opportunity to develop foundational skills and contribute to exceptional patient care within a collaborative healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing
  • Active License as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State inwhich s/he will be practicing or the state of primary residency if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state
  • BLS certification - American Heart Association
  • Additional certifications may be required based on population(s) served and services provided
  • Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements

Responsibilities
