We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented National Accounts Marketing and Merchandising Intern to support our National Accounts team. The D’Addario National Accounts team handles sales to major music retailers, offering exposure to both physical and online merchandising. The National Accounts Marketing and Merchandising Intern will assist in managing marketing campaigns across retail channels, help promote our brands through outreach, and contribute your insights to marketing strategies while gaining experience in marketing, analytics, and communication. This hybrid summer internship is based out of our Farmingdale, Long Island office and is part‑time up to 25 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with Mondays worked remotely and Tuesday through Thursday on‑site. The internship runs from May 27 through August 28.

Requirements

  • Experience and/or familiarity with:Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • KPI Design & Interpretation

Responsibilities

  • Audit retail and ecommerce operations for music industry mass merchants:
  • Visit and collect data at local retail locations including Guitar Center, Music & Arts, School of Rock, and Ensemble Schools
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Review D’Addario products on leading platforms such as sweetwater.com, guitarcenter.com, musiciansfriend.com, and musicarts.com to ensure product detail pages are current and complete
  • Conduct marketing analytics:
  • Analyze social media, search, and promotional marketing efforts to determine what drives best results
  • Enter marketing report data into Excel and PowerBI
  • Attend marketing and team meetings, representing D’Addario professionally in both verbal and written communication. Your opinions and insights will be sought out and valued
  • Assist with Factory Tours:
  • Organize factory tours for National Accounts guests, including coordinating with travel agency and D’Addario Sr Events Manager to arrange meetings, schedule tours, make reservations, and prepare gift bags
