About The Position

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Retail Sales, the National Accounts Manager will be responsible for driving profitable, sustainable growth within the automotive and general retail space. Account focus will be primarily national accounts under the automotive banner with select specialty retail accounts where applicable. Responsibilities will further include discovery and implementation of growth strategies and initiatives with internal and external marketing and support efforts. Item assortment will include well-positioned automotive brands, new item creation and innovation, and specialty opportunities. A creative mindset and strong interpersonal skills are essential to create new and develop existing relationships with key retail accounts. Supervision Responsibility: With the passage of time and successful placement, there could potentially be additional supervision responsibilities as placement initiatives grow and expand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business / Sales & Marketing / Business Management required.
  • Five years of retail sales experience required.
  • Retail placement and marketing support experience beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Word / PowerPoint / Excel.
  • Knowledge of Customer Management Software.
  • Knowledge of Retailer Experience / Past Sales Experience.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

  • Gather product, customer, and market information to aid in the process of selling product.
  • Manage sales process and achieve revenue targets.
  • Display or demonstrate product, using visual tools, samples or catalog, and emphasize salable features at trade shows, open houses, and sales training opportunities.
  • Maintain customer account portfolio, including sales volume, trip and customer reports, working agreements and other tracking reports.
  • Create reports for business transactions and keep expense accounts.
  • Represent manufacturer in fair and honest way.
  • Receive customer feedback and respond in an appropriate manner.
  • Maintain constant communication with clients.
  • Participate in product development and product improvement processes.
  • Act as an interface between the company and the customer on pricing, product availability, product information and credit issues.
  • Gather and disseminate internal information regarding product improvement, process improvements, including functions like shipping, quality, competitive information, and business opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
