About The Position

The position involves building relationships and developing plans to increase sales and profitability for targeted national accounts. The candidate will drive sales by creating, executing, and communicating business plans to grow sales for the organization. This role requires operation of a personal vehicle, with travel expected to be more than 50% of the time. An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report is a requirement for this position.

Requirements

  • National Accounts management experience.
  • Candidates that live in the Northeast region preferred.
  • Must live near a major airport.
  • Up to 50% travel required.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Passion for people, customers, and teammates.
  • Experienced with a successful track record in outside sales.
  • Ability to demonstrate products and services.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Salesforce CRM knowledge.
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline or MS/MA with relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in some areas.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a related field or 3-5 years with a master's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains business relationships.
  • Strategically plans customer visits to cultivate relationships, perform presentations, offer innovative programs and communicate plans.
  • Researches, develops and acquires account opportunities.
  • Effectively communicates competitive strengths and develops strategy to acquire competitive business.
  • Develops and executes profitable business plans for managing existing and newly acquired accounts and implements those plans effectively.
  • Negotiates national contracts and rebate programs consistent with industry management goals.
  • Teams with individuals within sales and other key corporate personnel to communicate account plans, pricing, and offer assistance to drive sales.
  • Participates in local and national trade associations and conferences.
