National Account Manager

About The Position

As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of JTI Liggett’s distribution and brand presence across both new and existing national chain accounts in the United States. You will play a key role in strategic business planning by delivering actionable market insights, shaping sales and marketing strategies, and establishing clear performance objectives. Territory to cover: Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of outside sales experience, preferably within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • Proven experience managing national chain accounts and distributor relationships
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships with category managers and senior corporate stakeholders
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Excellent consultative selling and fact-based negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management and organizational capabilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills
  • Experience contributing to business plans, sales strategies, and marketing initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and secure new corporate-level business opportunities
  • Manage and grow revenue within existing national chain accounts
  • Achieve targeted sales growth and profit objectives aligned with the strategic business plan
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Conduct regular sales calls and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence, including industry trends, competitive activity, and external insights
