As a National Account Manager, you’ll own the execution of account strategies that drive profitable growth, strengthen customer relationships, and align closely with Hoffmaster’s business objectives. In this high-impact role, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for assigned national accounts, partnering cross-functionally to manage contracts, forecasts, pricing strategies, and growth initiatives across branded and private label products.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute strategic account plans, ensuring alignment with Hoffmaster’s sales, growth, and profitability goals
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, building strong, trusted relationships that drive engagement and satisfaction
  • Manage contract execution and negotiations, supporting implementation, renewals, and ongoing compliance
  • Analyze market and customer insights, using data, trends, and competitive intelligence to inform account strategy
  • Lead customer business reviews, including line reviews, promotional planning, and state-of-the-business discussions
  • Develop accurate volume forecasts, supporting base business, promotions, and new product launches
  • Identify risks and growth opportunities, proactively recommending pricing and portfolio strategies to leadership
  • Communicate strategy and results, presenting operating plans, performance updates, and growth opportunities to Sales and Executive Leadership
  • Partner cross-functionally, working with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product Development to evaluate customer needs and solutions
  • Support new product development, providing customer insight on product design, packaging, and merchandising
  • Conduct field research, identifying competitive positioning, whitespace opportunities, and expansion within existing accounts
  • Ensure forecast accuracy, partnering with Marketing and Production Planning to support supply and execution
