About The Position

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven National Account Manager to lead the growth and development of a portfolio of General Construction accounts. This role is designed for an experienced sales professional who can identify opportunities, build strong relationships, and deliver tailored solutions that drive long-term value. The National Account Manager will act as a subject matter expert within the sales organization, leveraging data and market insights to create actionable strategies and maximize account potential. This position requires a proactive, self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balances independent decision-making with collaboration, and can travel nationally to engage clients and stakeholders. Success in this role means increasing brand visibility, deepening client relationships, and contributing directly to overall business growth.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in outside sales and national account management.
  • Proven track record of large account penetration, negotiation, and successful implementation.
  • Highly skilled at building relationships with customers, prospects, and industry partners.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with CRM tools and other sales technologies.
  • Ability to review, comprehend, negotiate, and secure contracts and MSAs effectively.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical problem-solver with a results-driven approach and high emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to travel nationally 40–60% to meet business needs.
  • Motivated, ethical, and committed to achieving customer satisfaction and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account action plans for national General Construction clients, aligned with long-term growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain multi-level relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, project managers, superintendents, and procurement teams.
  • Negotiate and manage contractual agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), ensuring mutual understanding of deliverables and expectations.
  • Conduct targeted sales presentations and meetings to communicate capabilities, demonstrate technical knowledge, and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage sales pipelines, collaborating with internal teams to ensure consistent progress across accounts.
  • Lead large opportunity reviews, preparing proposals, assessing feasibility, and driving high-impact projects to successful outcomes.
  • Travel nationally 40–60% to support customer engagement, trade shows, and industry events.
