About The Position

The Natatorium Summer Lifeguard is responsible for maintaining constant surveillance of patrons in the facility and acting immediately and appropriately to ensure their safety during emergencies. This includes providing emergency care and treatment until the arrival of emergency medical services. The lifeguard is expected to present a professional appearance and attitude at all times, maintaining a high standard of customer service. Additionally, the role involves performing various maintenance duties to keep the facility clean and safe, as well as other miscellaneous job-related tasks. Key responsibilities include daily maintenance of pool equipment and the deck, providing event support such as equipment set-up/removal and customer service, and ensuring adherence to safety standards for aquatics operations, including surveillance and assistance in emergency situations for both the competition pool and dive well.

Requirements

• Must have CPR for professional rescuer
• Must have lifeguard training
• Must have first aid
• Must attach ASIST schedule and current certifications

Nice To Haves

• Certifications through the American Red Cross
• One-year life-guarding experience
• At least one reference

Responsibilities

• Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility.

• Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
