ME306 - Live-in or Live-out Nanny - Upstate, NY/Manhattan
About The Position
A warm, professional family is seeking a full-time live-in or live-out nanny to care for their 2.5-year-old daughter and newborn (due soon). The position will begin in New York City (Upper East Side) and transition to the family’s 80-acre farm in New Lebanon, NY, after June 30. The family is seeking a long-term, career-oriented nanny who is nurturing, organized, proactive, and eager to grow with a young family. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am-4 or 5pm, with flexibility. They would love this person to be able to travel with them as they travel quite a bit domestically and internationally. After June 30th, they will travel into the city once every two weeks.
Requirements
- Strong experience with toddlers and newborns
- Valid driver’s license and confident driver (required)
- Comfortable living on a rural property part of the year
- Flexible and adaptable
- Long-term mindset
- Travel domestically and internationally
Nice To Haves
- Strong swimmer preferred
Responsibilities
- Primary care for a toddler and a newborn
- School drop-off/pick-up (ability to drive required)
- Planning enriching, age-appropriate activities
- Supporting developmental milestones
- Coordinating swimming supervision (family has an in-ground pool; strong swimmer preferred)
- Children’s meal prep
- Child-related organization and tidying
- Helping create a fun, structured, nurturing environment
- Travel between residences as needed
- When the toddler is at school, focus will shift to newborn care and child-related household organization.
