About The Position

A busy and growing family in Edmond, OK is seeking an experienced, full-time nanny to provide exceptional care for their 5-year-old child and their newborn arriving in March 2026. This position offers split shifts Monday through Friday with no weekend work required. On holidays (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas), hours may extend to full-day coverage to support the family when school is closed. The ideal nanny will have experience caring for both school-aged children and infants , confidently manage daily routines, and communicate clearly with parents. Candidates should be proactive, dependable, and possess a team-player mindset in this family-centered role. A genuine passion for child-centered care and creating a safe, nurturing environment is essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–4 years of professional childcare experience , including at least 1 year in a private home caring for multiple children or families
  • Minimum of 1 year of newborn/infant care experience required
  • Able to provide at least 2 professional references from private home childcare experience
  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree required
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
  • Minimum age: 21 years old
  • Non-smoker
  • Fully vaccinated
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to successfully pass an extensive criminal background check and drug screening upon hiring
  • Willing to commit to at least 1 year for long-term employment

Responsibilities

  • Manage morning routines including dressing, breakfast, and packing lunches
  • Perform school drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Provide transportation to extracurricular activities as needed
  • Support homework and school-related activities for the 5-year-old child
  • Adaptable and flexible as duties and daily routines evolve with the children’s development, including the changing needs of a newborn
  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the newborn
  • Engage children in age-appropriate, enriching activities
  • Prepare simple meals and snacks for children
  • Manage children’s laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away clothes
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of children’s bedrooms and play spaces
  • Assist with light household tasks such as tidying up and retrieving delivered packages
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding daily activities, needs, and overall well-being
  • Ensure children’s safety and supervision at all times
