RYE, NY(NATIONWIDE CANDIDATES) - A busy, welcoming family is seeking an experienced Nanny/Household Manager to support their four school-aged children (ages 13, 13, 10, and 8) and help manage the daily flow of a highly active household. This is a long-term, full-time role beginning February 1, 2026, and may be structured as live-in or live-out for the right candidate. The family is looking for a proactive, warm, organized professional who is confident partnering with parents and a co-nanny to maintain structure, routines, and a calm, well-run home. The core schedule is Monday–Friday from 7:00–8:30 AM and 3:00–9:30 PM, with flexibility required for school holidays, sick days, occasional later evenings, and overnights when both parents travel (approximately 1–3 times per month). This role works closely with another nanny, requiring strong teamwork, communication, and shared responsibility for the children’s schedules, activities, and transitions. Candidates should be comfortable stepping in independently when needed and managing the household confidently during parental travel. Childcare responsibilities focus on before- and after-school care, driving children to and from school, sports, lessons, playdates, and appointments, supporting homework organization and academic routines, coordinating with tutors and coaches, preparing children’s meals and snacks, and managing evening routines such as hygiene, packing for the next day, and bedtime. The nanny/household manager will also pack children for weekends away and family travel. A strong emphasis is placed on helping the children stay organized, responsible, and independent as they grow. An important health and safety note: one of the 13-year-old twins has severe Celiac disease and a nut allergy. This is a strictly nut-free home, and candidates must be calm, confident, and competent in allergy awareness and response. Comfort using an EpiPen, a strong willingness to learn, and a clear understanding of food allergies, cross-contamination, Celiac safety, and anaphylaxis are absolutely required. Household management responsibilities are child-focused and include children’s laundry, tidying common areas, organizing backpacks, sports gear, closets, cubbies, and bedrooms, and helping children maintain their personal spaces. The role also includes supervising and managing screen time in line with family rules, maintaining the cleanliness of family vehicles after use (including refueling at the end of the week), reinforcing household expectations, running family errands as needed, and supporting overall household logistics. A key component of this role is digital organization. The family values clear communication and efficiency and uses calendar apps and digital tools to manage schedules, activities, travel, and daily needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable with technology, proactive in updating calendars, and able to communicate changes clearly with parents and the co-nanny. The ideal nanny/household manager has significant experience with school-aged children, excellent references, a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, and is comfortable driving locally using a family-provided vehicle during work hours. They are organized, reliable, discreet, team-oriented, and confident managing multiple children and moving parts. Overnight care is expected when parents travel, with full responsibility for the household during those times. The family is offering $40+/hour gross, commensurate with experience. Benefits include four weeks of paid vacation (including Thanksgiving week, Christmas–New Year’s, spring break, early August, plus one week of the nanny’s choice), five paid sick days, paid holidays, overtime paid in accordance with NYS law for hours over 40, and an overnight stipend of $50/night when parents are traveling. A negotiable healthcare stipend is available for the right candidate.
